Mildred L. "Millie" Harding, 89, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 18, 2019, in Georgetown, Indiana. She was a retiree of AT&T where she worked for 30 years as a telephone operator. She was then the owner of Russ' Lounge in New Albany, which later became Main Street Antique Mall. Millie was a parishioner of Holy Family Catholic Church. Guerin Woods and Patchwork House were especially important to her. She will always be remembered for her quick wit and fun-loving personality.
She was born on March 9, 1930, in Navilleton, Indiana, to the late Arthur and Minnie (Meriwether) Ellenbrand. Along with her parents, Millie is preceded in death by her first husband, John Francis Resch; her second husband, Robert Claude Harding I; companion, Russ Obremski; and four siblings, Loretta Ellenbrand, Helen Sacrey, Mary Frances "Babe" Webber, and Edgar Ellenbrand.
Mildred is survived by her loving children, Sheridan Mann and Robert C. (Dora) Harding II; 5 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and sister, Thelma Stumler.
Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 21, 2019, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - New Albany. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. on Monday at Holy Family Catholic Church with burial to follow at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in New Albany, Indiana.
