Mikel Scott Tyler
April 21, 1975 — May 11, 2015
Mikel Scott Tyler, 40, of Jeffersontown, lost his will to live on Monday, May 11, 2015. He was an avid volunteer fire fighter. Mikel was a nurse and loved to care for others. He was a veteran of the Air Force and Army.
Mikel was survived by his wife, Michelle Tyler (Cole); children, Tristan and Dante; parents, Robert William Tyler (Lisa), and Vicki Tyler Campbell (Rickie); sister, Lori Tyler Davis (Jason); niece and nephew, Hailey Davis and Chase Zoeller (Christina); grandmother, Edith Tyler; and many uncles, aunts, nieces, and nephews.
In lieu of flowers we are establishing a trust fund for his children, Tristan and Dante. Memorial expressions may be sent in care of Michelle Tyler to Chase Bank, 2596 Enterprise Road, Orange City, FL 32763. Envelopes will be provided at the service or you can mail donations to Chase Bank.
Special thanks to Keith and Shelley Dickerson who were beside Mikel to the end.
Visitation will be held on May 15, 2015 from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home Louisville East (235 Juneau Drive) with a Memorial Celebration of Mikel's life to follow.
