Mickey Louise Lucas , 76, of Shepherdsville, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, August 15, 2019. Mickey worked for the GE Assembly Line. She was an avid card and Bingo player. She was a mother to many people, and a caretaker for many animals over the years.

She was born on March 24, 1943 in Louisville, Kentucky to Walter and Ethel (Bartley) Schmidt. She is preceded in death by her parents and 3 sons, Eddie Lucas, Jerry Lee Owings, and Billy Ray Lucas, brother, Joe Schmidt.

Mickey is survived by her loving Husband of 50 years, James H. Lucas, daughters, Terri (Timothy) Quiggins, Nicole Lucas (Paul Hartlage), Debbie (Michael) Dubin, Kelly (Levi) Pinnick, son, Jimmy D. Lucas, and sister, Julia (Larry) Combs. Mickey also leaves behind to cherish her memory 13 grandchildren and great-grandchildren, dog Scrappy, and cat Sophie.

Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, August 21, 2019 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). Her Funeral Service will be at 6:00 pm on Wednesday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel.

The family requests that contributions in "Mickey"'s memory be made to local Animal Shelters.
