Michel Rene Edwards, 66, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, September 14, 2019 at the Robley Rex VA Medical Center. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army. Michel had a big heart and could easily be described as selfless.
He was born on September 18, 1952 in Sumter, South Carolina. Michel was preceded in death by his mother, Jean (Robinson) Scott; and brothers, Antonius, Robin and Adrian Edwards.
Michel is survived by his parents, Consuelo, II and Eudora Edwards; siblings, Martin Edwards, Consuelo Edwards III, Phillipa Hollingsworth (Robert), Abner Edwards, Timothy Scott, Kamala Buford, Consuela Edwards; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
Cremation was chosen following Michel's wishes and Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) was entrusted with his care. Michel will be laid to rest privately at New Albany National Cemetery. The family requests that contributions in Michel's memory be made to Disabled American Veterans (www.dav.org).
