Michael Wayne Schoenbachler, Sr., 71, of New Salisbury, Indiana, passed away on Saturday afternoon, April 23, 2016. He was a retired truck driver and an avid animal lover. Michael in his younger years enjoyed horseback riding, hunting, as well as spending time outdoors. Throughout his entire life, the most important thing to Michael was his children and grandchildren that he loved unconditionally.
He was born on July 10, 1944 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Joseph and Dorothy (Richardson) Schoenbachler. Michael was also preceded in death by his children, Denny Wayne Schoenbachler and Bobbie Jo Schoenbachler.
Michael is survived by his children, Michael Schoenbachler, Jr., Cassie Schoenbachler (Chris Clark), Dustin Schoenbachler, Toni Buttram, and Kris Taubert; siblings, Joseph, Mary Ann, Betty; and grandchildren, Cydney, Colin, Taylor, Emma, Mason, Chelsea, Josh, Jake, Derek, Scott, and Marcus.
Visitation will be from 3 PM to 8 PM Wednesday, April 27, 2016, at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). His Funeral Service will take place at 11 AM on Thursday in the chapel at the funeral home with entombment to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany.
