Michael W. Kron, Sr.

Kron, Michael W. Sr., 62, born June 29, 1953, passed away Tuesday, March 1, 2016.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served a tour of duty in Vietnam. Mike retired from Philip Morris and was a member of Local 16T, having served as shop steward and chief shop steward. He left a legacy of love, caring daily for his grandchildren.

He is survived by his daughter, Kimberly and his son, Michael (Stacy); grandchildren Brenden, Felicity, Jeremy, Jakob, Isabella, and Jaxson; six brothers, Frank (Cindy), Robert (Shirley), Harry (Jan), Ronald (Terry), Anthony (Lisa) and Garry (Kelley) and his sister, Vickie Sample (Sam).

A memorial visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 9, 2016 from 2 p.m. - 8 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home-Southwest Chapel (10304 Dixie Hwy, Louisville, KY 40272). A graveside service will be held on Thursday, March 10, 2016 at 1 p.m. at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central (2501 North Dixie Blvd. Radcliff, KY, 40160).
