Michael Sullivan

Michael Sullivan, age 74 of Pekin, Indiana, passed away Saturday, April 18, 2026 at Baptist Health Floyd Hospital, New Albany, Indiana, after a long battle with illness. He was born on April 11, 1952 in Salem, Indiana. He was the son of the late Lloyd Sullivan and Anita Sullivan of Pekin, Indiana. On June 4, 1971 he married Carol (Blair) Sullivan, they were married 54 years. Mike was retired after many years in asphalt construction. He was a huge fan of Indiana Hoosiers basketball. He also had a farm that he enjoyed working on very much.

Mike was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Salem, Indiana. Mike had two daughters, Lori Delonjay of Pekin, Indiana and Calyn Sullivan of Florida. Two grandchildren, Gideon Delonjay and Eden Delonjay. Mike loved his daughters and grandchildren with every beat of his heart, and that should be a comfort to them in the days ahead.

He was very loved by his sister Susan Standiford in Salem, Indiana who survives. Mike loved and was much loved in return by his sister-in-laws, his brother-in-laws, his nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews and cousins. Mike was loved by so many people. Not only by his congregation of fellow believers, but also by our wonderful neighbors who visited and called when he was dealing with his illness but also went out of their way to help us with things Mike was no longer able to do. As his wife, he would want me to let them know how much he appreciated that. We'd like to say a special thanks to his nurse, Raquel, who took wonderful care of him.

In honor of Mike's wishes, cremation was chosen and Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - New Albany was entrusted with his care. Also, he asked that there be no services, he reasoned that he would always be in the hearts of the people that really loved him and never forgotten and I know he was right. It won't be the same without him, he will be missed...
