Michael David Stevenson

Michael David Stevenson, fondly known as Mike, passed away on July 14, 2026 in Shepherdsville, KY, at the age of 59. Born on July 8, 1967 in Tampa, Florida, Mike’s journey through life was filled with dedication to his profession, love for his family, and an infectious spirit that touched everyone who knew him.

Over the course of more than three decades, Mike made his mark as an over the road truck driver. His stories from the open road reflected not only the challenges of his profession but also the freedom and adventure he cherished during his many miles traveled.

Away from work, Mike was a man who truly enjoyed the company of others. He loved hosting and attending cookouts, and was often the life of every gathering, his laughter and charisma echoing long after the party ended. Family and friends always came first for Mike, and he found joy in making memories surrounded by those he loved most.

An avid collector, Mike spent countless hours collecting and building model cars and Hot Wheels. This passion was a reflection of his attention to detail and his appreciation for craftsmanship.

Those close to him remember Mike as a character—carefree, adventurous, and always ready for fun. He thrived on new experiences, never hesitated to share a joke, and made every stranger feel like a new friend. He had a rare ability to bring people together.

Above all, Mike’s greatest pride and joy was his family, especially his grandchildren. Their laughter, achievements, and milestones meant everything to him, and he took immense satisfaction in the loving legacy he helped create.

Michael David Stevenson’s presence will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of sharing his journey. His steadfast love, adventurous spirit.

Mike is survived by his son, Tyler (Kalee) Stevenson; daughter, Korinne Stevenson; grandchildren, Ariel, Kevin, Lyla, Neathan, Kade, Laiden and Lydia; life partner, Andrea Short, sister, Gail Boyd and Alexis Yonych; cousin, Steve McGrew and too many friends to mention.
