Michael "Mike" Robert Stallings, born on April 8, 1949, in Ferdinand, Indiana, passed away on August 10, 2025. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, Mike led a life rich in love and dedicated service to his family and community.
Mike was known for his entrepreneurial spirit, having founded and operated Pacers & Racers from 1998 until his retirement in 2018. He was a proud graduate of Indiana University. He cherished his hobbies, particularly his passion for running, which kept him active and engaged. He was also a devoted fan of the New York Yankees and IU basketball.
Mike was an active member of St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church, where his faith played a crucial role in shaping his values. His strong belief system guided him in caring deeply for those around him, exemplifying kindness and compassion in all aspects of life.
His proudest accomplishments, however, were found in the love he shared with his family. He was a committed partner to his wife of 49 years, Judy Stallings, and a dedicated father to his four children: Christopher (Erin) Stallings, Michael (Domani) Stallings, Brett (Ani) Stallings, and Ashley (Matt) Selfridge. His grandchildren-Grace Bennett, Brendan Stallings, Logan Selfridge, Madeleine Stallings, Henry Stallings, Evan Selfridge, Rose Stallings, Linus Stallings, and Luke Selfridge-brought him immense joy, and he treasured every moment spent with them. Mike is also survived by his siblings, David (Jodi) Stallings, Stephen (Marsha) Stallings, Kathleen Helming, Julia (Larry) Scherle, and Tina Stallings (Shelley).
Preceding him in death were his parents, Michael E. Stallings and Isabel (Wendholt) Stallings.
