He was born on January 17, 1955 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Chester and Dora (Oller) Spurrier.
Michael is survived by his son, Shawn Michael Spurrier, brother, Dwight Stephen Spurrier (Susan) and two grandchildren, Taylor and Aayla Bren.
Visitation will be from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm on Sunday, September 3, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home (235 Juneau Drive, Louisville 40243).
