He loved his family dearly and wanted the best for everyone he knew and loved. As a big brother, he was protective, bossy, and caring. As a father, he was loving and attentive. All who knew him well, knew he was crazy about his mom and was referred to as "the big baby" of the family.
Mike held many positions in the work force over his lifetime with his main love being customer service. He loved talking to people and took the time to learn from them and impart his knowledge. He's learned and imparted knowledge in St. Louis, Missouri, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and lastly, Louisville, Kentucky. In Louisville, Mike began a new life and settled down with his fiancée, Vanessa Bowman. Vanessa loved and cared for him until his untimely death.

He also loved nice clothes and had a thing for shoes. He took time out daily to connect with the people he loved. His second family was at the American Kidney Center where he made many friends and gave uplifting words of courage and hope.
