Michael Anthony Luciano

March 12, 1964 — August 20, 2020

Michael Anthony Luciano, 56, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away surrounded by his loved ones on Thursday, August 20, 2020, after a long and valiant battle with liver disease. He was born on March 12, 1964 in Pueblo, Colorado to Pauline Virginia Chavez and Paul Arthur Maxwell. Michael moved to Louisville, Kentucky while young, which is where he lived most of his life.

Michael received numerous certifications from Jefferson Community College, allowing him to devote much of his career to the information technology sector. He was able to enhance his skills throughout his nearly 30 year career going from a computer technician to a network administrator. Michael used this knowledge to instruct several courses in A+ and NET+ certifications.

Michael enjoyed spending time on the lake, cheering for the Louisville Cardinals or Pittsburgh Steelers, and fixing anything he could get his hands on. He was always willing to lend a hand, tool, or his expert advice to anyone who needed it. He loved spending time with his friends, neighbors, and family. One of Michael's proudest accomplishments was being a father to his three daughters. He supported, loved, and imparted his wealth of knowledge to them throughout his entire life.

Michael will be eternally missed by his devoted partner of almost 30 years, Melissa Luciano, His loving daughters, Rachael Niles McKinley (Nathan), Brittany Nicole Schooley (Ryan), and Julia Ashley Garr (Kurt), His Grandchildren, Ava Elizabeth Garr, Emmett Matthew Schooley, Elliott Thomas Schooley, Emery Elias Schooley, and numerous beloved extended family members and dear friends.

A private viewing will be held for the immediate family only.

Please join the family to swap cherished memories during a public celebration of his life on Saturday, August 29, 2020 from 9:30 am to 11:00 am, at Duncan Memorial Chapel, 5600 Old Floydsburg Rd, Crestwood, Kentucky 40014.

In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made in Michael's honor to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
