Michael Joseph Popp

Michael Joseph Popp ,56, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away on May 13, 2016. He was born on November 8, 1959, in New Albany, Indiana, to Robert and Betty (Book) Popp. Mike retired from the U.S Air Force after 20 years of service. He was a member of St Joe Hill Catholic Church, a member of Bell Conservation Club in Nineveh, Indiana, and lifetime member of the NRA. He enjoyed shooting, fishing, camping, and was a true outdoorsman.

Mike was preceded in death by his daughter, Alex Popp. He is survived by his loving wife, Patty (Smith) Popp, children; Adam Webb ( Christine), Samantha Borcherding (Grant), Jessica Popp, his parents, Robert and Betty Popp, siblings; David Popp (Pam), Cheryl Freiberger (Jim), Karen Schueler (Barry), Gary Popp (Julie), Brenda Robertson (Pat), along with 3 grandchildren; Zachary, Donovon, Brooke.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, Indiana 47150 from 4-8PM. His Funeral Mass will be on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at St. Joseph Hill Catholic Church ( 2605 St. Joe Roa
