Michael J. Hammond, 87, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 in Jeffersonville, Indiana.
Michael was born on January 11, 1928 in New Albany, Indiana. He retired as Vice President of ICWU. He was a U. S. Army World War II veteran, Kentucky Colonel, 50-year member of Masonic Lodge #340, and a member of East Naples Methodist Church in Naples, Florida. Michael enjoyed spending winters in Florida, loved to travel and living on the river.
He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Roberta (Miller) Hammond, loving daughters; Sandi Shuler of Evansville, Indiana, and Michelle Darling of Jeffersonville, Indiana, 3 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren.
Cremation was chosen, and there will be a private service held at a later date.
