Michael B. Crump

Michael B. Crump, 81, of Shelbyville, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, in Shelbyville. Born on October 22, 1944, in Louisville, Kentucky, he was the son of James and Mary Crump.

Michael was a loving and devoted father, grandfather, brother, and friend whose presence brought warmth to those around him. He was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force and served his country with honor. He was also an avid animal lover who had a special passion for caring for his dogs and never met a dog he did not want to pet. Above all, Michael cherished his family and the lasting memories they created together. He will be deeply missed by all who had the honor of knowing him.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Crump; his mother, Mary Crump; and his brothers, Daniel Crump, Jimmy Crump, John Crump, and Joe Crump.

Michael’s memory will be treasured by his loving family, including his sons, Corey Crump and his wife, Kimberly, and Tolly Crump. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Audrey Crump, Olivia Crump, and Nicholas Crump, who were among the great joys of his life. He is also survived by his sister, Maureen Adams, along with a host of extended family members and friends who will continue to cherish his loving memory.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 2, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, East Louisville, 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, Kentucky. A celebration of Michael’s life will follow there at 6:00 p.m.

The family requests that donations in his honor be made to the Disabled American Veterans.

As family and friends gather to remember Michael, they will honor a man who loved deeply, served proudly, and found happiness in family, friendship, and the simple companionship of the animals he adored. His life leaves behind enduring memories that will be held close for years to come.
