Michael Charles Seibert

September 15, 1942 — March 8, 2016

Seibert, Michael Charles, 73, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on March 8, 2016. He retired from Jefferson County Police Department. He served in the Navy during the Vietnam War, and also served in the International Police Task Force over seas in Bosnia.

He was born on September 15, 1942, in Chicago, Illinois to the late Charles and Margaret Seibert.

Michael is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Carol (Riley) Seibert; children, Anthony Seibert, Kimberly Rhoades (David) and Christina Rupe (Sam); grandchildren, Ashley Rhoades, Kerry Michael Rupe, Brooke Rhoades, Kiana Ledford (Garth), Kayla Seibert; and 4 great-grandchildren; brother, David John Seibert (Patricia); mother-in-law, Edna Riley; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, March 13, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home (10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville). A funeral service to honor the life of Michael Charles Seibert will be held on Monday, March 14, 2016 at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home, with burial to follow at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff, Kentucky.

Memorial contributions may be made to Crusade for Children and American Cancer Society.
