He was born on March 27, 1960, in Louisville, Kentucky, to the late Walter, Sr., and Margaret (Bowlds) Byrd.
Michael is survived by his children, Brittany (Chris) Bruce and Dylan (Courtney) Byrd; grandson, Walker Byrd; siblings, Cheri Byrd Wood and Walter G. (Katherine) Byrd, Jr.; and nieces, nephews, and friends.
Cremation was chosen by the family. His visitation and service will be held privately.
