Micah Nathaniel Adams, 49, passed away in New Albany, Indiana on May 9, 2025.
May 9th was a significant day for Micah as it marked his arrival into this world and his entrance into his heavenly home. He was born May 9, 1976 and stepped into the arms of Jesus on May 9, 2025. For the family, this day will stand as a memorial for Micah.
Micah is survived by his parents Jerry and Lois Dailey, brother Robert Adams (Michele), sister Allison Richards (Mark), niece Gillian Rosemary Adams and a long list of aunts, uncles, and cousins who loved him.
Growing up, Micah worked diligently to become an Eagle Scout and greatly enjoyed his experience as a guide at the Boundary Waters in Ely, Minnesota helping young scouts learn the outdoor skills.
Micah was a 1994 graduate of Floyd Central High School and a proud member of the marching band where he played the saxophone, bagpipes, and percussion. Always having a love for the outdoors, he attended classes at Purdue University’s Division of Forestry. He looked forward to annual fishing trips to Manitoulin Island in Canada with his father, Jerry and other family members; where many hours were spent waiting for a “big one” to take hold of the line!
He faithfully worked at Koetter Woodworking for over 25 years and appreciated his time with coworkers and the company.
Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Friday, May 16, 2025 at Newcomer Funeral Home, (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, Indiana). His Funeral Service will follow at 1:00 pm on Friday, May 16, 2025 at the funeral home with burial to follow at St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery in Starlight, Indiana.
Because of his love for the outdoors, donations to the National Arbor Society in lieu of flowers is offered as an option or the American Heart Association.
