Melvina Gaye Evans, 52, of Fairdale, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2020. Gaye was a Jefferson County School Bus Driver, for special needs children whom she adored and loved. She was a member of Cove Baptist Church. Gaye enjoyed spending time with family and especially her grandchildren. She was a kind hearted person who loved her family, and had a jovial personality.
She was born on January 3, 1968 in Louisville, Kentucky to Jerry Agee and Donna (Jaggers) Dezarn. She is preceded by her Husband, Steven Evans whom she was married 26 years, and Father.
Gaye is survived by her loving, Daughters, Danielle (Michael) Anderson, Leah K Lightle, and Lindsey (Shaun, Sr. Giberson) Evans-Lightle, Mother, Donna (Luther) Dezarn, Brothers, Jeffrey Agee, Bradly (Rhonda) Agee, and Barret (Crystal) Agee, Grandchildren, Mason Evans-Harris, Parker Evans-Lightle, Jacob Anderson, Shaun Giberson, Jr., Aaron Anderson, Makenzie Anderson, Brantley Giberson, Aubree Anderson, Evan Anderson, and Wade Giberson, Step-Brother, Chuck (Ila) Dezarn, Step-Sister, Berita (Steve) Blakley, Step-Mother, Carol Agee. Gaye also leaves behind to cherish her memory the entire Evans Family, Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, Coworkers, Church Family, and Friends.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). Her Funeral Service will be at 1:00 pm on Thursday, at Newcomer Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Bethany Memorial Cemetery.
