September 24, 1918 — June 4, 2012
Melvin Lee Osting, age 93, passed away on June 4, 2012 at Regency Health Care surrounded by his family. He was a WWII Marine Corp Decorated Veteran and a member of St Athanasius Church.
Preceded in death by his beloved wife of 54 years, Elona(Willis)Osting, and by sons: Dennis, Steven, Frank, Melvin II, and a daughter, Kathy.
He is survived by sons: Thomas(Barbara), Gerald Keyes(Cathy), Wayne(Susan), Kevin(Vickie), and daughters: Martha Kaiser, Deborah Haynes(Bob), and Paula Betschart(Marion); brothers: Paul and Billy Osting. Papa to 15 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.
Service will be at 1:00pm Friday, June 8th at St Athanasius Church, 5915 Outer Loop, Louisville, KY 40219. Visitation will be Thursday, June 7th, from 2:00-8:00 pm and 10:00am-12:00pm Friday, June 8th at Newcomer Funeral Home, 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, Ky 40243
