Melvin Charles Gatterdam

Melvin Charles Gatterdam, age 89 of Louisville, passed away Wednesday, February 15, 2017. He was a former driver for the Oertle's Company and for the Jefferson County School System. Melvin was a member of the Audubon Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. He was preceded in death by his parents, Pat and Lillian Mullins Gatterdam; and his siblings, Clayton Gatterdam Lillian Reiser, Ed Gatterdam and Bobby Gatterdam.

Melvin is survived by his loving wife of almost 68 years, Mildred; children, Deborah L. Durham (Michael), Steven Gatterdam (Diana) and Eric Gatterdam (Connie); grandchildren, Amber Durham-Puharic, Ginger Durham-Wood, Melodie Durham, Debra Durham, Amie Gatterdam, Jamie Gatterdam, Travis Gatterdam and Amanda Gatterdam-Schmidheiser; great-grandchildren, Ava Puharic, Hudson Wood, Sawyer Wood and Aliyah Durham; and a host of relatives and friends.

Services will be private.
