Melvin Allan Childers

January 12, 1961 — July 8, 2021

Melvin Allan Childers, 60, passed away on July 8, 2021. He was an Army veteran who loved fishing, hunting, spending time at the lake and he was a devoted UK fan, who never met a stranger.

He was preceded in death by his father, John Childers and his sister, Wanda Gale Rodgers.

Allan leaves to cherish his memories his daughters, Chrissy (David) Guy, Amanda Childers Milby and Allanah Childers; cherished mother, Jean Childers; grandchildren, Maddie Milby and Greyson Guy; special friends, Mary (Rob) Chandler and his beloved dog, Katie.

Visitation will be Wednesday, July 14, 2021, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY from 5pm-8pm. A celebration of Allan's life will be Thursday, July 14, 2021, beginning at 11am.

Allan will be laid to rest at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery- Central, 2501 N. Dixie Blvd, Radcliff, KY, at 12:30pm.
