Melissa Riggsby

Melissa Renee (Sheckell) Riggsby, 58, of New Albany, Indiana passed away on December 28, 2015. Renee was a CNA and the Activities Director at Green Valley Nursing Home for over 25 years. She enjoyed painting and reading but her true love was her precious granddaughter.

Renee is survived by her sons, Jason & Derek Riggsby; mother, Christine (Stephens) Bays; sisters, Dana Smith (Duane) & Karen Saltsgaver (Nevin); brother, Christopher Bays (Rogene); granddaughter, Juliana. She is preceded in death by her father, Ernest Sheckell.

Visitation will be from 11 AM to 3 PM on Thursday, December 31, 2015 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Her Funeral Service will immediately follow at 3 PM at the funeral home.
