Melissa Ann Proffitt, 38, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on Wednesday, January 4, 2017. She was born in Louisville, Kentucky on February 18, 1978 to Jean L. Proffitt and the late Ronnie H. Proffitt.
Melissa is survived by her beloved sons, Trenton Tyler Compton and Brennan Michael Compton; her mother, Jean L. Proffitt; a brother, Ronald H. Proffitt; maternal grandmother, Ann Wright; the father of her children, Jeremy (Heather) Compton; and a nephew, Toby Proffitt.
A service to celebrate her life will be 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway with burial to follow in St. Andrews Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
