Melinda Marcene (Byrd) Wise, 68, of Clarksville, Indiana, passed away on Monday, July 24, 2017. She enjoyed volunteering at Lay Ministries and was a long-time member of Morton Memorial and Park Memorial United Methodist Church.
She was born on May 25, 1949 to the late Rex A. & Marcene M. (Frantz) Byrd. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Mike Byrd.
Melinda is survived by her son, Jeff Wise and his wife, Melinda; and her grandchildren, James, Brad and Chris Walker.
Visitation will be from 3 PM to 8 PM on Thursday, July 27, 2017, at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Her Funeral Service will take place at 11 AM on Friday at the funeral home with burial to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany.
