Melba S. Goodwin, 88, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, March 30, 2020. She was born in Cullman, Alabama on December 10, 1931 to the late Leo and Sarah Schwaiger. Melba enjoyed music and playing her harmonica. She retired from Nicholson File after 23 years of service. She liked doing crafts at the local senior citizens center. She loved her children and grandchildren and reminiscing about her own childhood.
In addition to her parents, Melba is preceded in death by her son, David Chamblee; 6 brothers; and 1 sister.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Debra Jackson (Carl Burkhead); a son, Donald Chamblee; grandchildren, Mandy Chamblee, Beth Chamblee, Stephanie Burciaga and Chris Jackson; a great granddaughter, Sophia Burciaga; and 2 sisters, Rosa (Paul) Dalbec and Martha Currin.
