Meghan McCoy, a beacon of love and creativity, left this world far too soon on September 13, 2024, in her beloved hometown of Louisville, Kentucky. She was born on October 19, 1988, and from a young age, she demonstrated a passion for nurturing others, Meghan’s nurturing spirit was matched only by her boundless creativity, which she expressed through her love of writing and drawing, as well as her artistic nature that touched everyone who knew her.
She graduated from Valor Traditional Academy, where her compassion and caring personality shone brightly. Meghan was immensely proud of her daughter, Isabella Collins, who became the light of her life and her greatest achievement.
Meghan embraced many hobbies that brought joy to her life. She had a spirited passion for sports, especially soccer and basketball, often sharing her enthusiasm and love for the games with friends and family. Meghan also cherished her playful cats, who brought comfort and laughter into her home.
Meghan is preceded in death by her grandparents Dewey and Joe Ann Amundsen, Shirley and Bill Rucker, great aunt Martha Deisenroth
Meghan is survived by her loving mother, Beth McCoy; her father, Jerry McCoy Sr.; her biological father, Max Peak; her brothers, Jerry McCoy Jr. and Jason McCoy; a sister Nicole Lunn , also included are Uncles Dewey Amundsen and Gilbert Peak, as well as an Aunt ;Laurel Kelly, great aunt ; Doris Deisenroth and great uncle ; Melvin Amundsen, and, of course, her precious daughter, Isabella. Each of these relationships enhanced her life, and her loving presence will be profoundly missed.
Her passing has left a void that is inexpressible, but her legacy of warmth, creativity, and compassion will forever live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.
A visitation for Meghan will be held on September 22, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 6:00 PM, both to be conducted at the Newcomer Funeral Home, East Louisville, located at 235 Juneau Dr, Louisville, KY 40243.
As we gather to celebrate her life, we will remember Meghan not only for her gentle spirit and loving heart but also for the countless ways she inspired those around her to embrace their creativity and to love unconditionally.
