McKae Elizabeth Alstatt Bockting, an amazing, beautiful soul, born on August 1,1995 in Louisville, KY, left this world to be with the Lord on February 25, 2026. Her unexpected death came after a severe asthma attack that she just couldn’t recover from. At just 30 years old, she had already etched an indelible mark on the hearts of those who knew her. As a team lead at Aldi Supermarket, she flourished where she would call her co-workers and customers some of her closest friends. She was known for her contagious enthusiasm and unwavering commitment to everything she engaged in and had an innate ability to bring people together, making each moment shared with her a treasured memory. That said, it was her role as a devoted mother that brought her the most joy and pride. Her sons, Liam and Bryce were the shining stars of her life, and we’ll do everything possible to make sure we keep her memory alive for them. She was a genuine, accepting, resilient, strong young woman with incredible plans for the future, she was truly one of a kind
Mckae was not only a dedicated mother but also a loyal daughter, sister and friend. Her authentic personality and quick wit lit up every room, forging bonds that felt like family. She cherished the simple pleasures of life, relishing weekends spent with her boys with trips to the zoo, going to the park, or just walking them through the neighborhood. Between kids and school, she would spend time with family, and friends.
McKae graduated from South Oldham High School in 2013 and was pursuing a bachelor’s in health sciences. Her determination to better herself mirrored her commitment to nurturing her family and friends, creating a legacy of love and resilience.
McKae's spirit remains alive in the hearts of her loved ones. She is survived by her cherished sons, Liam Asher Connelly and Bryce Alexander Bockting; her devoted mother, Sharon Alstatt; her father, Marc (Jessica) Alstatt; and her brother, Taylor (Kelsey) Alstatt. Their lives are forever enriched by the moments they shared and the love they received from her.
McKae also leaves behind a network of support from her her grandmother, Linda Alstatt (Wylie Walker); her grandfather, Kenneth(Victoria) Alstatt; and her aunts and uncles; Gail Passanisi, Janet (Mark) Lisanby, Vince (Joan) Passanisi, Adam (Jennifer) Alstatt, Stephanie Flannery (Mike Higgins) , Angie (Jerry) Hack, cousins: Adam, Gina, Paul, Olivia and son Milo, Caroline, Jack, Logan, Mason, Douglas, David, and Jennifer; her step-siblings, Allison (Justin) Hammond and Ashton Ennis and a slew of family, friends and work family, each holding dear the memories they created together.
McKae is preceded in death and now reunited with her beloved Granny, Frances Passanisi (her and her granny Franny were two peas in a pod); her grandfather, Angelo Passanisi; and her cousin, James Lisanby. It is the legacy of love she shared that will continue to resonate through the lives she touched. Her proudest accomplishments—her children—will carry forward her light and laughter, ensuring that her spirit will never fade from the world.
Family and friends are invited to honor McKae's extraordinary life during a visitation on March 8, 2026, at Newcomer Funeral Home, East Louisville, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, followed by a memorial service at 4:00 PM. As we gather to remember McKae, let us keep her love alive in our hearts, celebrating the radiant individual she was and the profound impact she made on all of us. Keep the photos and stories coming to the family… that would certainly be her wish.
In lieu of flowers, friends of McKae have started a go fund me page to help with funeral expenses, as well as the boys’ expenses. https://gofund.me/10425d003
