McDonald Ittu was the first of five brothers and nine sisters born to the late Stevenson and Juanita Ittu.
He is survived and loved by his spouse Kathy Ittu and 12 children.
After graduating high school, McDonald attended college in Michigan.
He returned to Kosrae where he initially worked at the Kosrae State Broadcasting Station both as the broadcasting authority and board member. As such, he was part of the delegation that tour the Middle East to include Israel and the Promise Land. For the past 20 years, he has served the State of Kosrae as the Information Specialist for the Kosrae Delegation Office.
Some of McDonald's civic and volunteer work include being elected as a member of the Malem Municipality's 5th Council, volunteering for the Boy Scouts (Aloha Council), and as a coach for the Kosrae Baseball Little League program. McDonald was an active member of his church and community.
He was known for his humbleness, generosity, dedication, and willingness to lend a hand to help others when needed.
Visitation for McDonald Ittu will be Thursday, August 19, 2021 from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals, & Receptions-Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway. His service will be on Thursday at 10:00 a.m.
