Maymie C Humphress
June 25, 1927 — February 6, 2017
Maymie C. Humphress, 89, of Louisville, passed away on February 6, 2017. One of her favorite activities was gardening, which she did until she was 87 years old. Maymie enjoyed dining out with family and friends and visiting with her neighbors.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Humphress and sister, Elizabeth Carpenter.
Maymie is survived by her nephews, Bill (Claire) Humphress and Jim (Wilma) Carpenter; niece Teresa (Thomas) Hanson; great-nephew, Joseph (Pola) Cash and great-niece Rebecca (Bobby) Eakins.
Visitation will be Thursday, February 9, 2017, at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Louisville Chapel (10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY) from 4pm-7pm. A celebration of Maymie's life will be Friday, February 10, 2017, at 12pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Louisville Chapel.
Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, 4623 Preston Highway, Louisville, KY.
