Maxie Gardner, Jr.

Maxie Gardner, Jr., of Louisville, KY, 83, passed away on November 13, 2018. He enjoyed playing cornhole, horseshoes and nickel and dime poker with his friends and family. Maxie loved playing and spending time with his grandchildren. He was truly loved by his family, friends and neighbors.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Maxie and Arda Gardner; son, Maxie Darrell Gardner and brother, Will Arthur Gardner.

Maxie is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Edna Gardner; children, Arthur L. (Rhonda) Gardner, Denver (Patsy) Gardner, Royce (Vicki) Gardner, Gerald Gardner, Thomas Gardner, Mitchell Gardner and Tina Gardner; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren and his brother, Jerry Ray Gardner.

Visitation will be Sunday, November 18, 2018, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY, from 12pm-6pm. A celebration of Maxie's life will be Monday, November 19, 2018, beginning at 11am at the chapel of the funeral home.
