Maxie Darrell Gardner, 61, passed away on February 18, 2018. He enjoyed going to auctions, listening to country music and playing bingo. Maxie had a heart of gold and adored his nieces and nephews.

Maxie is survived by his parents, Maxie and Edna Gardner, siblings, Arthur (Rhonda) Gardner, Denver (Patsy), Gerald Gardner, Royce (Vicki) Gardner, Thomas Gardner, Mitchell Gardner, and Tina Gardner; many nieces, nephew, great- nieces and great nephews.

Visitation will be Wednesday, February 21, 2018, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY from 2pm-8pm. A celebration of Maxie's life will be 11am Thursday, February 22, 2018, at the chapel of the funeral home.

Burial will follow at Bethany Cemetery, 10915 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY.
