Maudie Alice (Ashworth) Hines, 69, passed away on Saturday, January 14, 2017. Alice loved life and never forgot to thank the Lord every morning for a new day.
She was born on November 6, 1947 in Hazzard, KY to the late Alfred & Mary Helen (Thomas) Ashworth. Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her infant daughter, Laura Sue Daugherty; sister, Ellen Daugherty; brother, Danny Thomas.
Alice is survived by her children, Jeanne Vest (Leonard), William Daugherty (Diane), Kathy Waltman, Dr. Russell (Daugherty (Jeanette), Carl Daugherty, Jr. (Cindy), Sabrina Daugherty, Samantha Daugherty (Eric Pyles), Jerry Lee Thomas (Jill), Roseanna Thomas, & April Morgan (Gregory); sister, Marie Wright (Donnie); 25 grandchildren, & 4 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM Friday, January 20, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, IN). Her Funeral Service will be at 10 AM on Saturday.
