Mattie McAtee, 95, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on October 31, 2015. She is a member of Taylortown A. M. E. Zion Church for sixty plus years.
Mattie was born on February 15, 1920 in Pewee Valley, Kentucky to the late Edward and Marie (Hardin) White. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William McAtee.
Mattie is survived by her daughter, Mae Wong McAtee, one sister-in-law, Mrs. Mary E. Thornton, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
The family would like to thank the staff at Baptist Health Palliative Care, and the staff at Oak and Acorn Adult Daycare for their excellent care and the attention given.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Thursday, November 5, 2015 at Newcomer Funeral Home (235 Juneau Drive, Louisville).
Her Funeral Ceremony will be held Friday, November 6, 2015 at 11:00 am at Taylortown A.M.E. Zion Church (10901 Ballardsville Road Louisville, KY 40241) with burial to follow in Pewee Valley Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Taylortown A. M. E. Zion Church Building Fund.
