Mattie Mae Calbert, born on May, 26 1937 went home to be with the Lord on October 28, 2024 in Bowling Green, KY. She was with her loving family and went home peacefully in her sleep. Mattie was a hardworking spirit who worked as the owner of Mattie's Daycare, as a beautician with a beauty shop and at a candy store, all from her home while raising 3 girls in the 1970's in Louisville, KY. She closed her businesses and later begin her "Jesus Lives Ministry" sharing Gods word with inmates at LaGrange Prison and to whoever she met. She was someone who was hard to forget once you met her.

She married Edward Leonard Calbert in 1978, who preceded her in death in 2022, and has three children, Sharon M. Sullivan (Curtis), Karen R. Miller, Lisa L. Williams and her step-son, Christopher Calbert (Marina). Three Grandchildren, Davida Sullivan, Deandrea Sullivan and Curtis Sullivan, Jr. and two Great-grandchildren, Niveya and Maya Sullivan.

Her homegoing celebration will be Friday, November 8, 2024 at Newcomer, East Louisville Chapel (235 Juneau Drive). Visitation 11:00am, Service 12:00 pm, and Burial following at Berrytown Cemetery.
