Matthew Lee Hawkins

Matthew Lee Hawkins, 30, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on Tuesday, December 20, 2016. He was born in Louisville, Kentucky on August 7, 1986 to Stephen Hawkins Jr. and Robbin (Michael) Beasy. He was an avid UK basketball fan, loved music and was of the Christian faith.

In addition to his parents Matthew is survived by a brother, Stephen (Patricia) Hawkins III; nephews, Sean and Ryan Hawkins; maternal grandmother, Betty Taylor; maternal grandfather, Robert (Carol) Jeffries; paternal grandparents, Stephen and Linda Hawkins; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

A service to celebrate his life will be conducted Saturday, December 24, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway with burial to follow in Bethany Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
