Mary Elizabeth (Oechsle) White

Mary Elizabeth (Oechsle) White, 62, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, August 24, 2019. She was a member of the inaugural girl's basketball team at Fern Creek High School. Mary retired from the Commission for Children with Special Health Care Needs and was also a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. She achieved a 4th degree black belt and had been an instructor for the University of Louisville Tae Kwon Do Club.

She was born on November 22, 1956, in Louisville, Kentucky, to Doris (Franconia) Oechsle and the late Gerald Oechsle. Along with her mother, Mary is survived by her husband of over 30 years, Charles "Joe" White, Jr.; daughter, Autumn White; siblings, Kathy Lee-Jarvis (Mark), Joy Walters (Glenn), Don Oechsle (Von), Donna Bouquet (George), and Ken Oechsle; brother-in-law, Jeff White (Janice); as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 27, 2019, at Newcomer Cremations, Funeral & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) and on Wednesday after 10:00 a.m. at church. Her funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday at Trinity UMC (2796 Charlestown Road, New Albany) with burial to follow at Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Jeffersonville, Indiana.
