Mary Vale, 78, of Shelbyville, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, October 4, 2022.
She was born on August 15, 1944 in Santa Fe, New Mexico to the late Stella Silva (Swanke) and Jose T. Vigil.
Mary grew up in New Mexico and graduated from ECPI technical institute with a degree as a medical secretary (Virginia Beach, VA/Temecula, CA), she met her first husband had three sons, she later divorced and met Dave in Long Beach, CA. As a military spouse she received honors for her work as an ombudsman.
She was a constant entrepreneur, in her life she: owned and operated a restaurant (Long Beach, CA), owned and operated a Nail Salon (San Francisco, CA), received certificate as a Wilton Cake decorator and instructor, owned and operated an embroidery business (Temecula, CA/Minden, NV/ Bernalillo, NM) and planned to continue embroidery in Shelbyville, KY.
Mary is survived by her loving husband of 33 years, Dave Vale; three sons, Tyler Corgan (Deidre), Mark Corgan, John Corgan (Susan); five grandchildren, Scott Corgan (Lindsay), Jeremy Corgan, Melissa Corgan, Nick Corgan, Hannah Barca (Ryan); four great-grandchildren, Molly Corgan, Wells Corgan, Josie Corgan and Trey Bell.
Visitation will be from 2:00 pm until the time of the memorial service at 4:00 pm on Saturday, November 12, 2022 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions East Louisville Chapel, (235 Juneau Drive Louisville, KY 40243).
