Mary L Streicher

Mary L. Streicher, born on January 30, 1954, in Louisville, KY, and a lifelong resident of the area, passed away peacefully on June 4, 2025, in her hometown. She was a beloved sister and a cherished member of the Louisville community, remembered for her dedication and compassion.

Mary dedicated over twenty years of her life to serving others in the healthcare field at Baptist Health Louisville. Her professional life was marked by a profound commitment to care and honesty, reflecting the qualities that defined her character. A graduate of Westport High School, she carried the values of hard work and devotion throughout her personal and professional endeavors.

In her personal life, Mary was known for her kindness and generosity. She was a devoted lover of UofL Basketball, regularly cheering on her favorite team with passion and enthusiasm. In addition to her love for sports, she enjoyed collecting giraffe figurines and cherished the companionship of her beloved dogs, which brought her immense joy.

Mary is survived by her two brothers, Chris (Sandi) Streicher and John Streicher. Her legacy is deeply rooted in the lasting memories and love shared with her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Emilia Gail Streicher; her father, Robert James Streicher, Sr.; her brother, Robert James Streicher, Jr.; and her sisters, Paula Streicher-Waggoner, Joanie Wuertz, and Anita Pulliam. Each of her departed loved ones held a special place in her heart, and their memories continue to resonate with those who knew her.

A memorial gathering will be held to honor Mary's life on June 23, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, East Louisville, located at 235 Juneau Dr, Louisville, KY 40243. She will be laid to rest at Calvary Catholic Cemetery at a later date.

Family, friends, and all who were touched by her kindness are invited to gather in remembrance of a remarkable woman who left an indelible mark on the hearts of many. Mary L. Streicher will be dearly missed and forever remembered.
