Mary Ellen Sears, 64, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, May 1, 2019. Mary was a member of Parkway Southern Baptist Church in New Albany. She had many friends that she cared for her like family. Mary never met a stranger and always looked for the good in people. She dearly loved spending time with her family and will be remembered for her heart of gold.

She was born on January 1, 1955, in New Albany, Indiana. She is preceded in death by her Father, Marvin "Punk" Sears; Brother, Frankie Sears; Sisters, Sherrian Mayfield and Karen Lynn Miller; Nephews, Clinton Mayfield, David Mayfield, and Drew Sears.

Mary is survived by her Sons, Brent (Dawn) Hedgespeth and Mark Hedgespeth; Mother, Pauline Sears-Baird; Sisters, Armintie (Richard) Kemp and Shelly (Tony) Dunn; Grandchildren, Amelia, Aidan, Maddox, Makenna, and Landen; Nieces and Nephews, Kelli Temple (Bryan), Megan LeMond (Roger), Jaime Lynn Epps (Caleb), Gage Dunn, and Brant Dunn; and her very special Nephew and Caregiver, Thomas Whitaker.

Cremation was chosen following Mary's wishes. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 1, 2019, at Parkway Southern Baptist Church (2508 Corydon Pike, New Albany, IN).
