Mary Frances Schneider, 97, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, December 24, 2021. Mary was a dedicated Christian, wife, mother, and grandmother. She retired from LG&E and The Colonnade Cafeteria. She graduated from Louisville Girls High School. She was a life long member of Hazelwood Baptist Church. She was in the choir, a Sunday School Teacher, helped to prepare baskets for the needy, WMU, and many other activities and functions of the church. She was a member of T.O.P.S. #KY27.
She loved traveling, celebrations, games, and events with family and friends. She loved classic movies as well as going out to view new movies at the local theaters. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family. She had a smile that could light up any room and will truly be missed by anyone and everyone who had the honor of knowing her.
She was born on March 22, 1924 in Louisville, Kentucky to Hedge and Lola (Winstead) Bruner. She is preceded in death by her Father, Hedge B. Bruner, Mother, Lola Mae Bruner, Husband, Robert Henry Schneider, Daughter, Sharon Ann Schafer, and Son-In-law, Richard Lynn Rhea.
Mary is survived by her loving family, Daughters, Linda G. Rhea and Bobbie Jo Schneider; Son-In-law, Melvin Louis Schafer; Grandchildren, Charles "Chase" (Elayne) Hamilton, Jr., Euthelda Frances (John) Hamilton-Nixon, Robert "Robbie" Louis (Rhonda) Schafer, Carrie Lynn Rhea, and Samuel Wayne Rhea; Great-Grandchildren, Lauren, Jessica, Matt, Cailyn, Lucas, Samantha, and Penelope; 3 Great-Great Grandchildren; Nephew, Andrew (Jill) Pearce; Niece, Alyson Griffith as well as a host of family and friends to cherish her loving memory.
Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at , Hazelwood Baptist Church (4201 Taylor Blvd, Louisville, KY 40215). Her Funeral Service will be at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, at Hazelwood Baptist Church (4201 Taylor Blvd, Louisville, KY 40215) with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Louisville, Kentucky.
