Mary Frances Yurt Russell

Mary Frances Yurt Russell, age 86, of Louisville, passed away Tuesday, November 22, 2016. She retired from Winn-Dixie and was a member of Southeast Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mallie Summitt Yurt; and her siblings, John Yurt, Herman Yurt and his wife, Wanda, Catherine Wilson, Melvin Yurt and his wife Carol and Alvin Yurt.

Mary is survived by her loving son, Joseph F. Russell, Jr. (Rebecca); granddaughter, Mary Elizabeth Russell (Richard Sandford); great-grandson, Owen Edward Russell Sanford; brother, Walter Yurt (Marilyn); sister, Dorothy Weedman (Wilmer); sister-in-law, Diane Yurt; brother-in-law, James Wilson; 12 nieces and nephews, and 19 great-nieces and nephews; and a host of relatives and friends.

Visitation will be 4-8pm on Friday, November 25, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 235 Juneau Drive. Funeral ceremony will be 11am Saturday at the funeral home, with entombment to follow in Resthaven Memorial Park.

Memorials may be made to the Kentucky Humane Society.
