Mary Powell

Mary Powell, 88, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, December 6, 2019. She was born in New York and enjoyed traveling back to see family. Mary was a member of the Highlands Community Senior Center. She enjoyed writing poetry and short stories. Mary will always be remembered for being the most selfless, energetic, and highly spirited woman.

She was born on January 16, 1931 in New York, New York to Salvatore and Cecelia (Leo) Picciotto. She is preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, Sgt. Gilbert "Bud" Powell, Son, Anthony Powell, Brothers, Johnny Picciotto, and Mello Picciotto, Sister-In-Law, Margie Picciotto.

Mary is survived by her, Daughters, Anna Powell Jaggers, and Cecelia McKinley, Brothers, Frank (Nilda) Picciotto, Cosmo (Cecelia) Picciotto, Joe Picciotto, Sr., and Anthony Picciotto, Sister, Angie Picciotto, Grandchildren, Christopher (Sara) Jaggers, Melissa White, Tiffany Jaggers, Brandon Jaggers, Sr., Ryan McKinley, Great-Grandchildren, Brandon "Bubba" Jaggers, II, Tatum Lohden, Jordan Jaggers, Addisyn McKinley, and Brayden Stempin.

Visitation will be from 12:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Thursday, December 12, 2019 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). Her Funeral Service will be at 7:00 pm on Thursday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel.
