Mary Evelyn (Bratcher) O'Banion, 99, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, June 2, 2021.
She was born and raised in Grayson County, KY on October 24, 1921 to Roscoe and Virtia (Higgs) Bratcher. She graduated from Caneyville High School in 1940. She completed her education at Bryant & Stratton Business College. She worked as an accountant and bookkeeper. She retired from Craig Ford New Albany as the office manager.
She was a faithful christian at the Douglas Hills Church of Christ. She was always hospitable, kind, and a godly example. She will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.
She is preceded in death by an infant child, and a grandson, Chase O'Banion, her parents and siblings.
She is survived by her loving husband of 70 years, Lester O'Banion, a son, Dr. David O'Banion (Wendy), a granddaughter, Whitney Reeves (Craig), and a great-grandson Chase Reeves.
Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Monday, June 7, 2021 at Newcomer-East Louisville (235 Juneau Drive). Her funeral service will be at 7:00 PM Monday at the funeral home. Internment at Horse Cave Municipal Cemetery.
