Mary Miles, 84, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and loved ones on Monday, May 24, 2021.
She was born on April 19, 1937 in Springfield, Kentucky to the late Joseph and Catherine (Ryan) Abell. She is also preceded in death by her husband, John Paul Miles.
Mary graduated from St. Catharine's High School in Springfield and Watterson College. She retired from the Kentucky Department of Labor.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Cathy Doan (Jerry), Joan Miles Strickland, son, Joe Miles, two grandchildren; Christopher Strickland (Michelle James), Matthew Strickland (Morgan) and two great-grandchildren; Hunter Strickland, Everly Rose Strickland. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters; Ann Roby, Linda Crow, Joe Abell (Barbara), John Abell (Glenda), Tommy Abell (Rita), and Allie Bowman (William).
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (235 Juneau Drive Louisville, KY 40243). She will be laid to rest with her husband John at Lebanon National Cemetery (20 State Hwy 208, Lebanon, KY 40033).
The family requests that contributions in Mary's memory be made to St. Vincent de Paul or Dare to Care.
