Mary Mathis

MATHIS, MARY, 84, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 5, 2026. Mary is the daughter of Thomas and Nettie Stout Greenwell.

Mary was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 35 wonderful years, Robert Mathis, and her sister, Josie Greenwell.

She is survived by her loving sons, Jim Mathis (Jane) and Mark Mathis (Sara); her cherished grandchildren, Bryan Mathis, Eric Mathis (Lexi), Collin Mathis, Izzie Mathis, Allan Mathis (Katherine), and Rita Mathis (Taylor Hardin); her treasured great-grandchildren, Sterling Crawhorn, Cameron Mathis, and Chase Mathis; and her sister, Nan Greenwell.

Mary will be remembered for her love of family, her kindness, and the lasting impact she made on all who knew her.
