Mary Elizabeth (Washingon) Martin

Mary Elizabeth (Washington) Martin, 71, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, July 12, 2017. Mary loved to enjoy all life had to offer. She enjoyed golfing, bowling, traveling and so many more activities. Her passion above all was taking care of people and putting others needs before her own.

She was born on July 31, 1945 in Louisville, KY. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Austin & Mattie Washington; her husband, Hugh Lauderdale; 2nd husband, William Martin; son, Hubert Lauderdale; step daughters, Frances & Maureena Martin.

Mary will be missed by her daughters, Charlene Douglas (Harold), Melinda Bradley, Mary Beckam (Willie), Mattie Lauderdale, and Teneal Martin; step-children, Bruce Martin, Danny Martin, Tony Martin, Roy Martin, Kenny Martin, Terry "Silky" Martin, and Dale Strum; 13 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held at 7:30 PM on Friday, July 14, 2017 at St. James Victory Temple Church of God in Christ (555 Eastern Blvd, Clarksville, IN 47129)
