Mary Margaret (Plue) Threlkel, 82, of New Albany, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, November 10, 2015 in Louisville, Kentucky.
Mary was born on March 28, 1933 in Elizabeth, Indiana, to Arch and Jessie (Knear) Plue. She worked for Indiana Bell Company as an operator and store room clerk for 40 years. Mary was a member at Scottsville Christian Church. She loved to play the guitar, and enjoyed reading ,gardening, cooking, quilting, and was an avid UK fan.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Arch and Jessie (Knear) Plue. Mary is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Royce Threlkel , daughters; Connie Bertrand (Benoit), Janet Peck (Paul), Denise Ruttle (Rob), 6 grandchildren; Meagan, Ashley, Jordan (Michael), Sarah, John, Brenda, and a great-grandchild on the way.
Visitation will be from 12 to 6 PM on Sunday, November 15, 2015, at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, Indiana 47150). Her Funeral Service will be at 11 AM on Monday, November 16, 2015 with visitation before from 9 to 11 AM. Cremation to follow.
Memorial donations can be made to The Arthritis Foundation (2908 Brownsboro Rd # 117, Louisville, KY 40206).
