Mary Kathryn (Gannon) Koopman

August 18, 1943 — January 17, 2021

Mary Kathryn (Gannon) Koopman, 77, of Starlight, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, January 17, 2021. She was a 1961 graduate of Providence High School. Mary enjoyed participating in Bible studies and was a long-time member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. She was an avid shopper and also enjoyed doing ceramics.

She was born on August 18, 1943 in Jeffersonville, Indiana to the late Charles "Bo" and Emma "Kathryn" (Biesel) Gannon. Mary was also preceded in death by her brothers-in-law, Fr. Bernard Koopman and Edward Koopman.

Mary is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Norbert Koopman; brothers and sisters-in-law, Raymond and Shirley Koopman, Lawrence Koopman, Charles and Mary Ellen Koopman; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.

Her funeral mass and burial will be held privately at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Starlight, Indiana. Contributions in Mary's memory may be made to the Parkinson Support Center of Kentuckiana (315 Townepark Circle, Suite 100, Louisville, KY 40243).
