Mary Elizabeth (Graf) Koerber

Mary Elizabeth "Liz" Koerber, 94, of Memphis, Indiana, passed away on Friday, December 13, 2019, at home with her family by her side. Liz enjoyed playing cards and Bunco (Chit-Chat Club). She was an avid IU basketball fan and a life-time member of St. John Paul II Catholic Church. She found great joy with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was born on August 15, 1925, in Borden, Indiana, to the late Peter and Louise Waiz Graf. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Edward J. "Bud" Koerber; son, Ronnie Koerber; brother, Carl Graf; and 4 grandchildren.

Liz is survived by her children, Chuck (Sandy) Koerber, Gary (Donna) Koerber, Wanda Wixson, Bob (Tara) Koerber, and Donna (Gordon) Strom; sisters, Rita (Norman) Ellenbrand and Pat Alexander; daughter-in-law, Cathy Koerber; 18 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-granddaughter.

Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 17, 2019, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Her Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday at St. John Paul II - St. Joe Hill Campus (2605 W. St. Joe Rd, Sellersburg, IN 47172) with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
